Hey guys! I apologize for the delay in getting the results posted....I was thinking there might be more art to throw into the pot as a prize. Unfortunately, the page couldn't be found.
Firstly, I want to thank DerekRodenbeck for letting me ink his lines and use them for the coloring contest.
A huge thanks for everyone that took the time to color and entering this year! I appreciate every skill level...and there were quite a few great entries.

I changed things up a bit this year, and wanted to have the prizes allotted by best color, rather than a random draw. So to do this, I asked SeanE to be the guest judge to help me choose the winners.

A big thanks to you, Sean, for your help! :)

So without further waiting, here are the results!

1st place:
Lady Mechanika By Derek and Devgear by Kristherion
Christian's colors are bold and rich. Very nice rendering of depth with the color.
I will be sending the original inked page.
Also, I will make a small limited print run of this to share with Christian and Derek.

2nd place:
Lady Mechanika colors by nahp75
Stephan used his unique style and talent to make this one look great. Adding the BG elements and Logo really set this apart.
A years DA membership or DA points matching the same amount.

3rd place:
Lady Mechanika Colors by roncolors
Ron made a very cool color and the lighting element looks pretty sweet.
A years DA membership or DA points matching the same amount.

This was a great contest and was great to see all the colored entries! I really wish I could give everyone a prize. Thank you all very much for participating and I will most likely make another giveaway this Christmas :)

Hi there! Haven't updated this bio since I joined, lol!
My name is James Goodwin and am a self taught inker. I've been at it since 2008.
Currently am inking cover art for Zenescope Entertainment.
My love for the craft and almost daily practice has brought me to the level that I am at now...still learning everyday.
Check out my older inks in my gallery to see how bad I was, lol ;) But, as I mentioned, a desire to better myself and practice definitely helped!
Through my growing process, I have always made hi-res inks available for colorists to practice on. If you find my inking something you wish to use for color practice, please do :D Just be sure to see my Terms of Use below. Crediting the artist involved is very important.

Victorian Secret Inks by devgear
Victorian Secret Inks
Wow....this was by far, one of my most mind bending inks, lol.
pant Paolo Pantalena made the incredible lineart. He is the reason this looks so cool....I'm just the inker ;)
The owner of this page sent me the scan....definitely needed a hi-res to get all the details in this.
I spent way too much time and probably could still keep adding and deleting, called it a day and scanned it.
Started with a Pentel brush pen...Paolo likes bold holding lines, but I still wanted to add some variation. Then used a .1 up to a .8 Micron. Also believe me when I tell you, I used a ton of white ink for fixing and adjusting!
Colorists can download for 300dpi *Please read and follow my terms of use* Thanks!

*Far from done...but getting closer. Burnt thru two pens so far, lol*

*Morning inking isn't as bad as I thought ;) lol...*

Looking forward to getting this one finished! pant 's awesome, awesome lines once again :) Actually working over a full res scan...much easier :)
Boba Fett Scan by devgear
Boba Fett Scan
Hey guys...Boba Fett is probably one of my fave characters from the SW franchise!
mikebowden  made the very cool lineart of Boba fighting the sarlacc... I did this one pretty fast tonight...wasn't planning on finishing, but did pull thru.
I used a .1 Micron and my brush pen on this....
J-Skipper had requested what the scanned page looks I am sharing the 600dpi will see the limitations of these tools. They don't scan very solid...but still get the job done :)
Colorists can download the 600dpi file *Please read and follow my terms of use* Thanks!

The Star Wars: The bounty hunter books ( 3 parts) picks up after he ends up in the belly of this beast. Great read and get to know this great character a bit more.
Miho by devgear
pant Paolo Pantalena made the great lines of Miho, from Sin City.
The owner of this one sent me the files for this, so did have a bit better scan than I normally have to work over :)
Really enjoyed inking this! Used a .1 Micron throughout.
Colorists can download the 300dpi *please read and follow my terms of use* Thanks!
Check out the scanned page on my CAF account…
